Today we are looking at Laws Four To Seven From The Seven Spiritual Laws Of Success, By Deepak Chopra. We will explore a beautiful Vedic principle, including what it means to embody personal responsibility, manifestation, intention and desire. We will also be unpacking what it means to be detached from outcome, whilst being in alignment with source, as well as our dharma, higher self, and being of service in the world. The Seven Spiritual Laws are powerful principles you can use to fulfill your deepest desires with effortless joy. Inspired by ancient wisdom, Hindu and Spiritual concepts, which teach the idea that personal success is not the outcome of hard work, precise plans or a driving ambition, but rather of understanding our basic nature as human beings and how to follow the laws of nature.
I began reading The Seven Spiritual Laws when I first started writing the draft for Part 1 A New Paradigm For Success and I resonated so deeply with the Laws, that I felt it would be of value to include it here. And so naturally, part 2 and 3 emerged....
In the natural world, creation comes forth with ease. A seed doesn’t struggle to become a tree―it simply unfolds in grace. And that is essentially how success and the fulfilment of your deepest desires and dreams should feel.
That is how living in alignment with your values should feel. A sense of flow and effortlessness. Now that is of course not to say that there will never be times that will be difficult. The difference is that when we embody these universal truths, we become the conscious co-creators of our lives.
Law Four: The Law of Least Effort
What is commonly called a "miracle" is actually an expression of the Law of Least Effort.
Nature’s intelligence functions with effortless ease, with carefreeness, harmony, and love. And when we harness the forces of harmony, joy, and love, we create success and good fortune with effortless ease.
This is the principle of least action and no resistance. This is, therefore, the principle of harmony and love. When we learn this lesson from nature, we easily fulfill our desires.
If you observe nature at work, you will see that least effort is expended. Grass doesn't try to grow, it just grows. Flowers don't try to bloom, they bloom. This is their intrinsic nature.
It is the nature of the sun to shine. It is the nature of the stars to twinkle. And it is human nature to make our dreams manifest into physical form, easily and effortlessly.
In Vedic Science, the age-old philosophy of India, this principle is known as the principle of economy of effort, or "do less and accomplish more."
Ultimately you come to the state where you do nothing and accomplish everything. This means that there is just a faint idea, and then the manifestation of the idea comes about effortlessly.
When your actions are motivated by love, your energy multiplies and accumulates and the surplus energy you gather and enjoy can be channeled to create anything that you want, including unlimited wealth.
Embodying The Law Of Least Effort:
"When I am motivated by love, I am in alignment with my spiritual success."
"Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur."
" I will not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment which is just as it should be for all evolution."
"Having accepted things as they are, I will take responsibility for my situation and for all those events I see as problems. I know that taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation."
"I also know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise, and this alertness to opportunities allows me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit."
"Today my awareness will remain established in Defenselessness. I will relinquish the need to defend my point of view, and I will feel no need to persuade others to accept my point of view. I will remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to any one of them."
Law Five: The Law of Intention and Desire
When we introduce an intention in the fertile ground of pure potentiality, we put this infinite organising power to work for us.
Intention is the real power behind desire. Intent alone is very powerful, because intent is desire without attachment to the outcome.
This conscious change is brought about by the two qualities inherent in consciousness: attention and intention.
Attention energizes, and intention transforms.
Whatever you put your attention on will grow stronger in your life.
Whatever you take your attention away from will wither, disintegrate, and disappear.
Intention, on the other hand, triggers transformation of energy and information. Intention organizes its own fulfillment.
We see the expression of this infinite organizing power in every blade of grass and in every cell of our body. We see it in human resilience. We see it in everything that is alive.
Embodying The Law Of Intention And Desire:
"I will make a list of all my desires. I will carry this list with me wherever I go. I will look at this list before I go into my silence and meditation. I will look at it before I go to sleep at night. I will look at it when I wake up in the morning."
"I will release this list of my desires and surrender it to the womb of creation, trusting that when things don’t seem to go my way, there is a reason, and that the cosmic plan has designs for me much grander than even those I have conceived."
"I will remind myself to practice present-moment awareness in all my actions. I will refuse to allow obstacles to consume and dissipate the quality of my attention in the present moment."
"I will accept the present as it is, and manifest the future through my deepest, most cherished intentions and desires."
Law Six: The Law of Detachment
The Law of Detachment accelerated the the whole process of evolution. When you embody this law you don't feel compelled to force solutions before their time has come.
The Law Of Detachment says that in order to acquire anything in the physical universe one must relinquish their attachment to it.
This doesn't mean you give up the intention to create or manifest your desire. It means you give up your attachment to the end result, the how and the when. This is a very powerful thing to do, because detachment is based on the unquestioning belied in the power of your true self.
The source of abundance is the self. It is the consciousness that knows how to fulfil every need. Everything else is a symbol. True wealth consciousness is the ability to have anything you want anytime you want, with least effort.
To be grounded in this experience you have to be grounded in the wisdom of uncertainty. Uncertainty is expansive. Those who seek security and comfort, chase it for a lifetime without every finding it. For they are looking for external fulfilment instead of tuning into their internal state-their self.
Step into the unknown and you will step into the field of all possibilities. When you experience uncertainty you are on the right path. Don't give up. The known is our past conditioning. Nothing new there happens.
The law of detachment does not interfere with the law of intention and desire (goal setting.) You still have the intention of going in a general direction, however between point A and Point B there are many possibilities.
Embodying The Law Of Detachment:
"Today I will commit myself to detachment."
" I will allow myself and those around me the freedom to be as they are. I will not rigidly impose my idea of how things should be. I will not force solutions on problems, thereby creating new problems."
"I will participate in everything with detached involvement."
"Today I will factor in uncertainty as an essential ingredient of my experience. In my willingness to accept uncertainty, solutions will spontaneously emerge out of the problem, out of the confusion, disorder, and chaos."
"The more uncertain things seem to be, the more secure I will feel, because uncertainty is my path to freedom."
"Through the wisdom of uncertainty, I will find my security."
"I will step into the field of all possibilities and anticipate the excitement that can occur when I remain open to an infinity of choices. "
"When I step into the field of all possibilities, I will experience all the fun, adventure, magic, and mystery of life."
Law Seven: The Law of Dharma
This is probably my favourite of all the laws probably because the nature of my life work is all about connecting souls with their life purpose and sacred-soul print. Dharma is a sanskrit word that means "purpose in life." The Law Of Dharma says that we have taken manifestation in physical form to fulfil a purpose. If money was no concern and you had all the time in the world, what would you do? If you would still do what you currently do, then you are in dharma because you have passion for what you do.
The field of pure potentiality is divinity in its essence, and the divine takes human form to fulfil a purpose. According to this law you have a unique talent and a unique way of expressing it. There is something you can do better than anyone else in the world.
The first component says we are each here to discover our True Self or divinity in disguise.
How beautiful is that?
Each of us is here to discover our higher self or our spiritual self.
Inside each of us is a God or Goddess in embryo that wants to be born so that we can express our divinity. And oh my goddess, how I love that!! It is essentially why I created my Sacred Soul Print mentoring!
The second component of the Law Of Dharma is to express our unique talents. When we are expressing our unique talent, or more than one talent in many cases — we are happy, and we lose track of time.
The third component of the Law of Dharma says that we are here to serve our fellow human beings with our talent.
By asking the question “How can I help all those with whom I come into contact?” we combine the expression of our unique talent with service to humanity, and make full use of the Law of Dharma.
The experience of our spirituality, coupled with the expression of our talent in service to humanity, gives us access to unlimited abundance. This is the spark that generates abundance, and it’s permanent, not temporary, because this is the real way abundance is achieved.
By asking the question “How can I help?” instead of “What’s in it for me?” we go beyond the internal dialogue of the ego, into the domain of our spirit — that part of our awareness where we experience our universality.
If you want to experience the Law of Dharma, seek your higher Self through spiritual practice and discover your divinity; find your unique talents; and serve humanity with the expression of your talents.
When your creative expressions match the needs of your fellow humans, wealth spontaneously flows from the realm of the spirit to the world of form. You begin to experience your life as a miraculous expression of divinity — not just occasionally, but all the time. And you will know true joy and the true meaning of success — the ecstasy and exultation of your own spirit.
Embodying The Law Of Dharma:
"Today I will lovingly nurture the god or goddess in embryo that lies deep within my soul."
"I will pay attention to the spirit within me that animates both my body and my mind."
"I will awaken myself to this deep stillness within my heart. I will carry the consciousness of timeless, eternal Being in the midst of time-bound experience."
"I will make a list of my unique talents. Then I will list all the things that I love to do while expressing my unique talents."
" When I express my unique talents and use them in the service of humanity, I lose track of time and create abundance in my life as well as in the lives of others."
"I will ask myself daily, “How can I serve?” and “How can I help?” The answers to these questions will allow me to help and serve my fellow human beings with love."
